Who these terms are between

India Web Designer is the freelance web design practice of Vikram Chouhan, based in Udaipur, Rajasthan, India (“I”, “me”). These terms apply to any project I take on for you (“you”, the client) and to your use of this website. Where a written quote or proposal says something different, the quote takes priority for that project.

Quotes and scope

Every project starts with a written quote that sets out the pages, features, deliverables, timeline, price and what is not included. Quotes are valid for 30 days. Work outside the agreed scope — extra pages, new features, additional revision rounds — is quoted separately before it is done, so there are no surprise charges.

Payments

The fee is split into milestones set out in the quote, and each milestone is invoiced in the currency stated on it.
Invoices are due within 7 days unless the quote says otherwise.
Work on the next milestone begins once the previous one is paid. If a payment is overdue, I may pause work and hold back the launch until it is settled.
Bank, payment-gateway and currency-conversion charges on your side are paid by you.

Your part of the project

You supply the content, logos, photographs, product data and account access the project needs, and you confirm that you have the right to use them. Timelines in the quote assume content and feedback arrive when agreed; delays on either side move the deadline accordingly. If a project is on hold for more than 60 days because of missing material or feedback, I may invoice the work completed so far.

Revisions and approval

The number of revision rounds is stated in the quote. A revision is a set of changes to work already agreed, not a new direction. Once you approve a design or a milestone, later changes to it count as additional work.

Ownership

When the project is paid in full, you own the design, code and content produced specifically for you.
Third-party items — themes, plugins, fonts, stock images, libraries and hosted services — remain under their own licences and terms.
Your domain, hosting, and analytics and Search Console accounts should be registered in your name. Where I set them up for you, they are transferred to you on request.
I may show the finished site in my portfolio and mention you as a client. Tell me if you’d rather I didn’t, and I won’t.

Hosting, domains and third-party services

Hosting, domain names, email, payment gateways and other third-party services are provided by those companies under their own terms. I am not responsible for their outages, price changes or policy decisions, although I’ll help you deal with them where I can.

After launch

Bugs in work I delivered that are reported within 30 days of launch are fixed free of charge. After that, changes, updates and support are charged at the rate in your quote or covered by a care plan if you have one. I am not responsible for problems caused by changes made by you or by another developer, or by updates to third-party software.

SEO and results

I build every site following search engine guidelines and good practice, but no one controls Google’s rankings. I don’t guarantee positions, traffic or sales, and nothing on this site should be read as such a guarantee.

Cancellation

Either of us can end a project by written notice. You pay for the work completed up to that point, and I hand over everything that has been paid for. Payments already made for completed milestones are not refunded.

Confidentiality

I keep your business information, logins and unpublished material confidential and use them only for your project. Login details are removed from my records when the project ends, on request.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, my total liability for any project is limited to the fees you paid for that project, and I am not liable for indirect losses such as lost profits, lost data or business interruption. Keep your own backups of anything important.

Using this website

The text, design and images on indiawebdesigner.in belong to India Web Designer or are used under licence, unless stated otherwise. You may link to any page but may not copy the content wholesale. Links to client and third-party websites are provided for reference; I am not responsible for their content. How this site handles your data is explained in the privacy policy.

Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of India. If a disagreement can’t be settled by talking it through, it falls under the jurisdiction of the courts of Udaipur, Rajasthan.

Changes and contact
