Privacy & Cookies

Short version: this site collects nothing unless you send me an enquiry, and it sets no tracking cookies unless you say yes.

Who this is

This site is run by Vikram Chouhan, a freelance web designer working from Udaipur, Rajasthan, India. If you want anything on this page explained, or you want data removed, write to ervikramnathchouhan@gmail.com and I’ll deal with it myself — there is nobody else to pass it to.

What the site collects

If you use the enquiry form: your name, e-mail address, the subject line and whatever you write in the message. That is sent to my inbox and nowhere else. It is not added to a mailing list, not sold, and not shared with any third party. I keep enquiries so I can pick up a conversation later; ask me to delete yours and I will.

If you just read the site: nothing. There is no account, no login, no profiling, and no newsletter sign-up.

The form is protected by a honeypot field, a timing check, a per-address rate limit and a simple arithmetic question. None of those store anything about you beyond the length of the submission.

Cookies

This site sets no tracking cookies of its own. The consent banner exists so that if analytics is ever added, it is switched on by your choice rather than by default.

The only thing stored in your browser is your answer to that banner, kept in localStorage under iwd-consent-v1. It records whether you accepted or rejected, and when. It never leaves your device and it is not a cookie in the tracking sense. Clear your browser’s site data and it’s gone, and the banner will ask again.

If you accept and analytics is later enabled, that tool would set its own cookies to count visits and see which pages get read. If you reject, it is never loaded at all — not loaded and blocked afterwards, but never requested in the first place.

Things the site deliberately does not do

  • No advertising pixels, retargeting or ad networks.
  • No embedded social media widgets or trackers. The WhatsApp and phone buttons are plain links — they open your own app and set nothing.
  • No fingerprinting, session recording or heatmaps.
  • No data sold or shared with anyone, under any circumstances.

Where the site is hosted

The site is static files on shared hosting. Like any web server it keeps standard access logs — IP address, time, page requested, browser — which the host uses for security and diagnostics. I don’t analyse those and they aren’t linked to anything else.

Fonts and outside resources

Typefaces are loaded from Google Fonts, which means your browser makes a request to Google’s servers when a page loads. Everything else — images, stylesheets, scripts — is served from this domain.

Your rights

If you’re in the UK, the EU, or anywhere with comparable rules, you can ask me for a copy of anything I hold about you, ask for it corrected, or ask for it deleted. One e-mail does it and there is no process to go through.

Changes

If this page changes, the date at the top changes with it. There is no version history worth keeping — the policy is short because the site does very little.

This is a plain-language notice describing what the site actually does. It isn’t legal advice, and if your own business needs a policy reviewed by a solicitor, that’s worth doing separately.

Anything here you want changed?

Ask, and it gets done — or deleted — the same week.
