Custom systems in PHP & MySQL

Sometimes the platform is the problem. A trade supplier with thousands of line items does not need a consumer checkout — buyers want to assemble a list and get a price back, and forcing that into a shopping cart loses the sale.

Custom systems in PHP & MySQL

When that is the situation I build the thing itself: a database, an admin panel you can actually use, and only the features the business needs. No plugin stack to maintain, no licence renewing every year, and no ceiling you hit in eighteen months.

It is also how I move sites off WordPress when WordPress has become the problem — the same pages and URLs, served by a small, fast PHP site with a simple admin, and far less to keep patched.

How it works

Four steps, one person

  1. Requirements

What the system must hold and do, and who will use it.

  2. Data & screens

Database design and admin screens agreed before building.

  3. Build & import

System built on a test link, your existing data imported and checked.

  4. Launch & handover

Deployed on your hosting, admin training, source code handed over.

Custom PHP systems usually start around $850 (₹75,000) and depend on scope. A fixed written price follows the requirements stage.

Questions

Frequently asked

Why custom PHP instead of WordPress?

When the way a business works does not fit WordPress — large catalogues, quotation flows, custom records — plugins pile up and the site gets slow and fragile. A small custom system does exactly the job with far less to maintain.

Can I still edit content myself?

Yes. Every system comes with an admin panel for the content and records you need to change, built for your team rather than for every possible user.

Will my URLs and Google rankings survive a move off WordPress?

Existing URLs are kept or 301-redirected, and titles, headings and schema carry across. Rankings are never guaranteed, but a careful migration protects what the site has earned.

Where does it run?

On ordinary PHP and MySQL hosting — shared, VPS or dedicated. No special server or licence is needed.
